Hi! My name is Amanda Kidd.

I am currently an Agricultural Communications student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, graduating in June 2026, with a focus on digital marketing and social media strategy. I specialize in creating data driven, audience focused content that strengthens brand presence, drives engagement, and supports long term growth.

My Experience

I take a people first approach to my work and truly enjoy collaborating with others to bring ideas to life. With a background in agricultural communications, I’ve learned that the most impactful marketing starts with understanding the people, stories, and communities behind a brand. I’m someone who asks questions, listens closely, and cares about creating work that feels authentic and intentional.

I’ve gained hands on experience across social media, content creation, podcasting, and event support, which has taught me how to balance creativity with strategy. Whether I’m planning content, creating visuals, writing copy, or engaging with audiences online, I enjoy being involved in every step of the process and adapting as things evolve.

What drives me most is connection. I’m passionate about storytelling, collaboration, and continuous learning, and I bring enthusiasm and reliability to every project I work on. I care deeply about the work I put out and take pride in creating content that not only looks good, but genuinely resonates with people.

Growing up playing sports shaped the way I approach marketing and sales today. Being part of a team taught me discipline, adaptability, and the value of clear communication, while fueling a drive to set goals and deliver results. I carry those lessons into my work through strategic thinking, collaboration, and relationship building, approaching both marketing and sales as opportunities to connect authentically with people and create meaningful impact.

Podcast

Explore a collection of podcast episodes shaped by my work as a co-host of Organic Odyssey Season Two, where I led interviews and conversations centered on organic agriculture and sustainability. I supported Organic Chats through audio editing and visual design development, helping translate complex topics into engaging, accessible content. In addition to assisting in producing and hosting, I had the opportunity to join an episode as a featured guest offering a firsthand perspective within the same storytelling space. Together, these projects reflect a blend of communication, production, and creative strategy in audio storytelling.

As a Foodservice Marketing Intern at Taylor Farms, I had the opportunity to take this project beyond strategy and into execution. Building on the sales guide framework, I developed recipe concepts, visual assets, and promotional materials that showcased the versatility of Romaine Singles across multiple menu applications.

This included hands on involvement in product photography, recipe development, food styling, and design layout, as well as support at industry events like IFPA through booth setup, display planning, and brand storytelling.

Working on this project allowed me to connect consumer trends, customer pain points, and sales strategy with creative execution. It was a valuable experience in understanding how marketing supports both sales teams and foodservice partners, and how thoughtful, well designed materials can help introduce and position a new premium product in a competitive market.
